A Winter Break for Our Girls šŸ”šŸŒæ

As the days get shorter and the colder weather starts creeping in, it’s time to talk about our plans for the winter here at GreenHearth Homestead.

This winter, we’re giving our girls a well-deserved break, which means we won’t be selling eggs over the winter months.

Our hens work hard throughout the year, and as the seasons change, egg production naturally starts to slow down. Rather than pushing them to keep producing when their bodies need a rest, we’ve decided to give the flock some breathing room and let nature take its course.

Looking after our girls will always come first. They’re not just here to lay eggs; they’re a big part of what we’re building at GreenHearth, and we want to make sure they’re happy, healthy and ready for the seasons ahead. šŸ”

So, when will egg sales return?

Don’t worry, we’re not going anywhere!

Egg sales will reopen in the spring, when we’re happy that the flock is ready and production is picking back up.

We’ll make an announcement a couple of weeks before we reopen orders, giving everyone plenty of time to get their orders in and get back on the egg list. We know how quickly our eggs can go, so we don’t want anyone caught out!

In the meantime, we’ll still be sharing updates from around the homestead, including what the girls have been getting up to, how the flock is doing and what else we’re working on behind the scenes.

And if you’ll miss having a little taste of GreenHearth in your kitchen, don’t worry! Our super popular Silky Nut Job and Salty Nut Job peanut butterĀ are still available to purchase, so you can keep those jars stocked up.

We’re also working on something a little special for the colder months. Closer to Christmas, we’ll be releasing a winter range of handcrafted items, just in time for the festive season. We’ll share more details nearer the time, so keep an eye on your inbox and our website!

Thank you to everyone who has supported our little homestead, bought our eggs and followed along with our journey. Every order makes a difference, and we really do appreciate it.

We’re looking forward to bringing you fresh eggs again in the spring. Until then, we’ll be keeping the girls happy, healthy and well looked after, with a few winter surprises along the way.
